Nicole Patterson

I began taking dance class at the age of 2. As I grew older so did my love of dance. I have traveled the United States performing and learning from The Broadway Dance Center in New York to Gus Giordano and Lou Conte in Chicago to The Edge Performing Arts Center in California. I decided to continue my dance education and obtain my certification through the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters when I was 16 years old. Over the years I have continued my dance education through seminars, workshops, and conventions. I am also a certified Zumba and Zumbatomic instructor. Working in a preschool on and off since I was 14 and through my studies in education from the University of Phoenix I have always had a passion for teaching children. I took my education of children and my love of dance and found my perfect career: dance teacher and studio owner. Through the years, I have taught students from the age of two through adult guiding them through creative movement and discovery, tap, ballet, jazz, basic hip hop, basic floor tumbling, lyrical and contemporary.

Unfortunately, my studio was in Springfield, IL and I was commuting 4+ times a week and as my own children grew so did their passion for sports and school activities. After weighing all my options, I did what was best for my family and myself and closed my studio. The passion to teach and work with kids is still a huge part of who I am while the business side of the dance studio I am happy to step away from. I have been most fortunate to find amazing studios to be able to continue doing what I am passionate about.
